Concerns about COVID-19 are stress-inducing for everyone. For those dealing with mental illness, the pressures can be even greater. That’s why it’s so important that Community Support Services remains open and available to our clients.

For more than 30 years, Community Support Services has provided services for people in Summit County with severe and persistent mental illness. Our clients rely on us for a variety of holistic programs to support their recovery based on each individual’s strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences. Services available at CSS include psychiatry, psychological testing, primary care clinic, day treatment, Cognitive Enhancement Therapy, counseling, group services, nursing, art therapy, homeless outreach, residential services, payeeship, forensics services, supportive employment, and much more.

The organization has created a response team to investigate all aspects of our operation to ensure we can continue to provide our clients with crucial services while maintaining a safe and healthy environment for employees, clients and others who access our various facilities. Among the issues being addressed by the response team are:

  • Frequent and thorough sanitation of all locations
  • Work from home options for all appropriate employees
  • Ensuring that CSS’s HR policies actively encourage ill employees to stay home and follow the quarantine and recovery recommendations from leading medical professionals

Bob Stokes, president and CEO of Community Support Services, said, “Organizations and individuals are having to learn about and react to this pandemic in real time. Fortunately, at CSS, we have a smart, thoughtful team of experts in their fields – who are committed, first and foremost, to our clients and providing them with crucial services and support so important to their health and welfare.”
