The CSS Board of Directors recently elected a new board member and saw the return of three previous directors.
Claudia Schieve was elected to a three-year term on the board. In addition, she will serve on the Outreach Committee. A senior marketing strategist at SummaCare with a focus on the Medicare Advantage line of business, Claudia has more than a decade of diverse marketing experience. Her background includes working across various sectors, including an integrative health and medicine association, a recruiting company and a digital marketing agency.
Outside of her work with SummaCare, she performs in an acoustic duo with her mother throughout northeastern Ohio, primarily in Cleveland. She resides in North Canton and enjoys spending time with her husband, stepdaughter and pets.
This fall, several former members returned to serve on the board: Karl Henley, Aaron Kurchev and Leslie Powlette Stoyer.
Henley served from 2012 through 2023 and filled various roles, including chair and vice chair, as well as sitting on several committees and serving as chair of the Finance Committee. He is executive vice president and partner at SeibertKeck Insurance Partners.
Kurchev was elected to the board in 2014 and served through 2023. In that time, he served in various roles, including secretary, board vice chair and chair. He also served on several committees and chaired the Fund Development Committee. Currently he is employed as supply chain planning director at GOJO Industries, Inc.
Stoyer served from 2014 to 2023, was a member of several committees and served as chair of the Board Development Committee. She is retiring from her post as executive director of NAMI Summit County at the end of the year.
