Community Support Services, Inc. (CSS) has hired Michael Gaffney as the organization’s Director of Marketing and Development.
Gaffney comes to CSS with extensive experience in the local nonprofit arena, having served as President of Junior Achievement of North Central Ohio for five years, and as Vice President of Communication for United Way of Summit County for 14 years. He also is well-versed in the mission of CSS, having served as a member of the organization’s Board of Directors from 2002 to 2010.
Robert Stokes, Community Support Services President/CEO said, “The addition of Michael to our leadership team will help us to continue building communities of hope where mental and physical health are treated equally. We hope to raise more money to fund innovative and life-changing treatments, as well as raise community awareness of our organization and erase the stigma too often associated with mental illness. Michael’s vast knowledge of the local nonprofit landscape and his deep ties in the community will be a great benefit to our organization and our mission.”
A life-long Summit County resident, Gaffney and his wife Corina live in the Portage Lakes area, and are the parents of two adult daughters.
