The CSS Board of Directors’ annual meeting saw the installation of new leadership, as well as the addition of new members.

Longtime board member Paul Jackson was elected president. Jackson, president and shareholder of Roetzel & Andress, has been on the board since 1994 and has served on several board committees. Currently, he is a member of the human resources and executive committees.

Jackson replaces Karl Henley, executive vice president and partner at SeibertKeck Insurance Partners, who was chair for two years. Henley has been accepted as an honorary CSS board member for a two-year term.

Other CSS Board officers elected for 2023-24 include Staci Nevels, founder of Journey4Heroes, as vice chair; Jon Novak, chief financial officer for Jennings Heating & Cooling Co., as treasurer; and James Pianalto, consultant with D&J Pianalto Consulting LLC, as secretary.

New members elected to three-year terms on the board were Laura Jo Hawk of Health Philanthropy Services Group LLC, Katie Casenhiser of Akron Art Museum and Jamie Messenger of Oriana House and NAMI Summit County.

Accepted as honorary board members, in addition to Henley, were Aaron Kurchev of GOJO Industries, John Moulagiannis of Paragram and Leslie Stoyer of NAMI Summit County. In addition, honorary board member Karen Hrdlicka, of Akron Community Foundation, was re-elected to a two-year term.
